I shopped in Coco Pari, a boutique store on Broad Street in Red Bank, New Jersey.
I spent a lot of money there for MANY years.
Today I was looking for boots, and could not find what I was looking for. The sales person literally followed my steps but I did not say anything for a long time trying to deal with it. When I was entering the lower level I asked the sales person not to follow me there so closely. The owner showed up and all of a sudden started yelling at me in front of manypeople;"Do you have any problems with my sales person folowing you? She must follow your steps. "
The manner and the tone of voice, the whole body language of the owner stunned me. I could not believe his vulgar and loud manner, and his rude attitude. Then he screamed through the entire store,"Look at you, look at you..." and then something else, but I was already out of the door embarassed and humiliated. I left the store, called him from my cell phone, and the voice on the other end shouted,"What do you want?" I told him how insulted and humiliated I was. This was my day off that was ruined for no reason.
It is pathetic and sad that there are so many people who are so consumed by negative emotions that they would actually take the time and or make the effort to type complaints about a store. Seriously get a life or just start with a hobby. Find something you love and focus your energies on that, YOU will benefit in the long run!

My first visit to the Red Bank store was back in 2/08. Not being a size 2 I was at first very hesitant to enter the store. Upon doing so, I was greeted by a wonderful salesperson, Janine. I found her to be extremely personable, friendly, non-threatening, an all around terrific hands on person. She made me feel as if I had been a long time customer of the store as well as of hers. Never once did I feel rushed or pressured into buying anything. I did in fact walk out with 2 pairs of shoes and one dress.
It is now 7/08 and went back to the store. I was EXTREMELY surprised when Jeanine approached me & asked me how I was & how the first dress worked out. We chatted for a moment & then she sold me another 2 dresses & another pair of shoes.
The best way to describe my experience at your store is from the scene in Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts walks into the store on Rodeo Drive & is pampered from head to foot.
My experiences have been nothing short of spectacular & I feel that I have Jeanine to thank for them.

The minute I walked into Coco Pari I was amazed that they had clothes that fit me, a twelve year old. its nice to see a storeowner stick up for his employee when a rude customer abuses them. i wish i worked in a store like coco pari where i work we get treated mean by patrons on a everyday basis and our boss would never tell a customer to stop it. it sounds like this customer got what she deserves for yelling at the salesgirl just for doing her job.
employee: your comments are indicative of the exact attitude in your store. i have been there a few times and felt that if a customer is not spending $2000. on a dress, the customer is treated poorly. its not professional to say things like that to a customer (go to target or macys where you belong or where you will be ignored) everyone is entitled to their own opionion and should be entitled to speak about their own experience.
hey yana....... you must be one of the stores that cant compete with coco or one of those envious haters that either cant afford or cant fit in the clothes. i have worked for coco pari all thru high school and college and i can tell you the owners husband has always been a complete gentelmen to all the employees ans every female customer so you should be ashamed of yourself for trying to slander him and a great store you should be exposed and sued. stay in target whereyou belong.
The store owners husband is a pig! Its like a running joke, bc all the women I know who shop there try to avoid him at ALL costs. He hits on any one who gives him the time of day. He is always hovering around women in the store. His poor wife, I feel sorry for her.
I.s, your comment is obviously fueled by an agenda. I am assuming you work for the store bc you sound like an advertisement for the store. NOT everyone has had a good experience in that store. When I was at the store last year, there was a young women wearing gym clothes and she was treated like crap by the sales girls. They were rolling their eyes and following her around the store like she was a theif. It was horrible!
I first visited CoCo Pari 3 years ago after hearing rave reviews buzzing through the fashion industry (I have worked for a high end department store for over 10 years). Now I make the trek from NYC to Red Bank at least once a season to stock up on the greatest fashion finds. The sales consultants there are the most honest, caring, cheerful girls that the industry has to offer. No matter how stressful my life is, when I walk into CoCo Pari I feel like I am on cloud 9! I always leave there with complete outfits and dynamite accessories. I willingly give up my corporate discount for the pure bliss that shopping at CoCo Pari is! (As a fashion insider, I would strongly suggest that anyone who has a problem with CoCo Pari should join the Loehmanns’ insiders club)
